About the house
Villa ‘Quiet Corner’ is bright and spacious house with a fenced child-friendly garden.
It is situated in a narrow lane in the historic Dumont Quarter of De Panne, only 350m away from the most spectacular white sandy beach on the Belgian/French coast. Its location is quiet and yet in the middle of the village close to good restaurants, shops and a weekly market.
The beach, a vast stretch of sand and sea is a paradise for children and adults alike all the year round!
Marked walking trails and cycle-routes start on the doorstep. Further sports facilities include sand-yachting at low tide, as well as kite-surfing. Several golf-courses and tennis-courts are nearby. As well as horse-riding and fishing possibilities.
The tram runs 60km along the coast from De Panne via Oostende to Knokke, or in the other direction to the fairytale fun-park ‘Plopsaland’ only a short ride away, and then on to Adinkerke Station (15min ride)
Several museums, art galleries and places of interest can be visited nearby. Throughout the year many festivals and folklore are celebrated in surrounding villages.
It is an ideal location for exploring the WWI (1914-1918) battlefields of Flanders around Ypres and along the river Ijzer. The WWII Operation Dynamo 1940, took place on its beaches. Visit surviving evidence of many other historic battles fought in the immediate vicinity.
On the ground floor there is a spacious light living room, a sunny terrace with view and a double bedroom with en-suit bathroom with a walk-in shower. The modern kitchen has all the necessary equipment for great cooking. Upstairs are a further three large double bedrooms (one of which has extra long 220cm twin beds) and a family bathroom.
Ample clean towels and sheets are provided for your stay (but please bring your own beach towels). Beach and garden chairs and a large garden table are there for your use. Children’s toys and games are available. We have books, leaflets and maps of all there is to see and do in the area.

Facilities
Linen:
All linen , including for the kitchen is provided for your stay and beds are made up. You only need to bring your beach-towels.
Parking:
There is room only for 1 (one) car in the garden. Only push-bikes can be kept in the garage.
Laundry:
A well equipped laundry area can be found in the basement – washing-machine and tumble-drier, iron and ironing-board
WiFi and Internet:
There is good WiFi / Internet connection. The code will be given on your arrival.
